SAP HANA Administrator

Department: Delivery
Project Location(s): Any location (Preferably Bangalore, Hyderabad)
Experience: Minimum 6 years in SAP and 3 years in SAP Hana

As part of the organization, you will be exposed to SAP’s biggest customers and will support them with technical expertise in the role of Software Engineer. The primary objective is to establish you as an expert in the role of Development and Support Engineer. You will have to have excellent technical expertise in ABAP, ABAP OO, and Web Applications.

You will be working for the SAP practices division in LMTEQ which is a global unit in the US and India. Your aim should be to take ownership of the customer’s requirements and to deliver the best service to our customers in fulfilling their business needs.

Prerequisites for the role
  • Detailed Knowledge of HANA Architecture 2.0 (Distributed HANA DB Architecture): System DB, HANA DB, Index server
  • Knowledge of the Infrastructure of HANA systems and landscape (we refer to our environments as HWD [dev], HWQ [QA], HWS [Staging], and HWP [PROD]): Primary and Secondary Systems, BCP systems, Swapping
  • Knowledge of SLT and BODS – High level
  • Knowledge of HANA Admin activities
  • Monitor Memory and CPU Utilization
  • Troubleshooting Expensive Queries
  • Troubleshooting System Tables
  • Awareness of how to identifying existing solutions for SAP HANA issues
  • Working on SAP Note
  • Engage SAP Vendor Team for issues
  • Raising OSS Notes for Upgrade issues and following up with SAP
  • Working with App teams on Issues identified during the HANA Implementations on their Models
  • Co-ordinating with App Teams and suggesting Solutions for the issues
  • Sending Communication emails to the larger Audience for Prod Issues in HANA
  • Knowledge of the Reporting tools (Tableau/AO/Qlik) Integrations to HANA
  • Knowledge of HANA Security (Overview of Users / Roles /Analytical Privileges
  • Working closely with Basis team, Security Team, BODS Team, SLT Team, and BOE Team
  • Working Knowledge of HANA Modelling
  • HANA Platform – On-Premise & Cloud Roadmap – New features
  • HANA Hardware Management & Licensing
  • HANA BCP activities
  • HANA upgrade activities
  • CHARM/Solman integration of SAP HANA
  • Incidents Troubleshooting (reported in Service Now)
