SAP, an acronym that stands for Systems, Applications and Products, has been a successful and great technological solution to various industries. It tracks the customer as well as the business interactions. At its core lies the integration of business processes. Even with all its advantages, SAP lacked an interactive and simple Graphic User Interface that would enable its users to reap the most benefit from the software. To eliminate this issue, in 2013, SAP introduced Fiori.
The latest of the versions is the SAP Fiori 3 which leaps up and takes the User Interface to a newer precipice from its predecessor, SAP Fiori 2.0.  It was going to be made available for developers during SAP Tech Ed. The release date was first hinted in 2018.
The main motive was to enhance the experience of the user by making it more consistent and integrated. The idea was to have a design that could be adopted across all platforms of SAP and its products. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1459508073015{margin-bottom: 100px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1575982086334{padding-top: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_inner][vc_custom_heading text=”SAP Fiori 3.0 Features” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”no_stripe”][vc_column_text]SAP Fiori 3 has various features that have been newly introduced. The UI5 technology is an enabler for this new version. The design is such that any device can support and run the Intelligent Suite.
The design of SAP Fiori 3.0 also ensures that more information is on the home pages. This is possible due to the Cards feature which also is a part of UI5. These Cards are of six different types called the “Integration Cards”.
These six types are predefined. Each of these Integration Card features is bound to different data sources.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Integration Cards available in OpenUI5:

  • List Card
  • Component Card
  • Table Card
  • Object Card

Integration Cards not available in OpenUI5:

  • Timeline Card
  • Analytical Card

The cards and the layout enable the user to choose a visualization of his choice from a vast collection.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”9191″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1669829879323{padding-top: 20px !important;}”]The SAP Fiori 3.0 features the Quartz Theme. The theme is a successor to the Belize Theme from SAP Fiori 2.0. It is minimalistic and optimized for desktop and various touch-based devices.
Moreover, it accompanies the new Shell Header Bar. The bar was introduced in the GUI, giving it a modern and more functional make-over. Also, it is an independent unit.
SAP Fiori 3 is compatible with SAP Fiori 2 provided the user has not customized the UI5 controls and CSS. One can still adopt SAP Fiori 3.0 if it is verifiable that the customized UI5 controls and the custom CSS look fine and that they still work.
Hence, it is very easy to upgrade to SAP Fiori 3 from SAP Fiori 2.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1459508073015{margin-bottom: 100px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”SAP Fiori 3.0 Release Date and Timeline:” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”no_stripe”][vc_column_text]As mentioned earlier, SAP Fiori 3.0 was meant to release in 2018. The library version of SAP UI5 came about in April 2019. Subsequently, Fiori 3 software came into the picture as an integral part of SAP S/4HANA 1909 and SAP S/4HANA Cloud 1908
The most awaited feature of the SAP Fiori software is the CoPilot. It is an intelligent assistant that can interact with the user using simple language and perform tasks on their behalf. This, certainly revolutionizes the user experience.

Conclusion

In conclusion, SAP Fiori 3.0 is a user-friendly, optimized, innovative, minimalistic and universally adaptable model of the Fiori series of software. The software is a leap ahead of its predecessors due to two reasons. Firstly, its ability to integrate with SAP UI5. Secondly, the ease with which we can upgrade it from the earlier version.
Furthermore, what sets it apart is that it is inching towards the integration of the essential CoPilot feature into its system. One cannot but wait with bated breath to see what the future of SAP User Interfaces holds in store for them.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”9192″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1597680428827{margin-bottom: 0px !important;padding-top: 50px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;background-image: url(https://www.lmteq.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/black-abstract.jpg?id=7140) !important;background-position: 0 0 !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;}” el_id=”cta”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_custom_heading stripe_pos=”hide” text=”Request a Callback” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%2329abe2″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1598390156056{margin-bottom: 25px !important;}”]
