Job Overview :

This hybrid role (onsite presence required) was for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in interface development and SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) implementation.
The ideal candidate was expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement MDG enhancements, configurations, and customizations around financial and master data entities.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP ABAP Development & Integration:

Develop and enhance ABAP-based solutions within SAP environments.
Work on interface development to integrate SAP with other systems.

SAP MDG Implementation:

Collaborate with Technology, Process, Security, and Basis teams for MDG projects.
Create and update MDG technical specifications and design documents.
Implement MDG enhancements, configurations, and customizations for key financial and master data entities:
- Cost Center
- Profit Center
- GL Account
- Customer & Supplier
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) (Custom)

Cross-Team Collaboration & Documentation:

Understand and align with global MDG design and local business requirements.
Work with member firms to gather, analyze, and implement MDG solutions.

Technical Testing & Support:

Perform unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing.
Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and enhancements.

Performance Optimization & Debugging:

Optimize ABAP code for performance improvement in large-scale SAP environments.
Troubleshoot and debug complex SAP programs to enhance efficiency.

Compliance & Best Practices Implementation:

Ensure MDG and ABAP development follow SAP best practices and compliance standards.
Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies to propose improvements and innovative solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise :

SAP ABAP Development: Strong programming background in ABAP with interface development experience.
SAP MDG Implementation: Hands-on experience in MDG enhancements, configuration, and customization.
Technical Documentation: Ability to create and maintain MDG technical specifications and design documents.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with Technology, Process, Security, and Basis teams.
Master Data Governance Expertise: Understanding of global MDG design and financial master data entities.
