Job Overview :

We were seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with strong interface development experience to support our SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) implementation efforts. This role involved collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and enhance SAP MDG solutions for key master data domains.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP ABAP Development & Interface Integration:

Develop and optimize SAP ABAP programs, including reports, enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, and RFCs.
Work on interface development for integrating SAP MDG with other systems.
Implement ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles for robust development.
Utilize IDocs, Web Services, and OData Services for system integration.

MDG Implementation & Enhancements:

Support SAP MDG solution implementation for Cost Center, Profit Center, GL Account, Customer, Supplier, and WBS (Custom).
Configure and enhance MDG workflows, business rules, and UI screens.
Collaborate with Process, Security, Basis, and Technology teams to align MDG solutions with business requirements.

Technical Documentation & Collaboration:

Prepare and maintain technical specifications, design documents, and functional mappings.
Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and debugging activities.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand global MDG design and member firms’ requirements.

Required Skills & Expertise :

ABAP Development: Strong programming skills in ABAP, ABAP OO, WebDynpro, and BRF+.
Interface Development: Experience with IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services, and OData.
SAP MDG Enhancements: Customization and configuration experience in SAP MDG workflows and data models.
SAP Debugging & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills for debugging and resolving performance issues.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Ability to work with Process, Security, and Basis teams on MDG integration.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

SAP S/4HANA Experience – Exposure to ABAP development in S/4HANA.
SAP Fiori/UI5 Knowledge – Understanding of Fiori-based SAP applications.
Data Migration Experience – Handling SAP MDG data cleansing and validation.
